NFL Director’s Convention

Heather Karberg, Director of the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders, did an outstanding job of organizing the NFL Director’s Conference on Monday and Tuesday of this week! The accommodations were wonderful, held in a charming remodeled 1950′s hotel. Thank you Heather; it was obvious you put a lot of hard work into making this a successful and enjoyable event for everyone!

The fashion show on Monday night was a big hit. The Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders put on a great performance modeling for the show!

When the show was done, there was a lot to clean up! Below is Lindsey Stone, Senior Account Coordinator at The Line Up (to the right) posing with Sarah from Satin Stitches (to the left).

Design Connection with Vera Wang

Last week Evan Lysacek won gold wearing one of Vera Wang’s designs. As a former skater, Vera Wang has created designs for Olympians Michelle Kwan and Nancy Kerrigan. This is the first time her design has won a gold.

Did you know The Line Up also has a Vera Wang connection?

In 2003 Vera Wang designed the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleading uniform. The Line Up executed her design by making the prototypes, patterns and final production of the garments. Each year the team orders new uniforms from The Line Up. Their ensemble includes two performance tops, shorts, a skirt and a two piece winter outfit.

NFL Cheerleading Directors Convention

Next week, from February 22-23rd, Lindsey and Deb will be in Arizona at the NFL Cheerleading Directors Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona. Heather Karberg, Director of the Arizona Cardinals is hosting the event.

The newest NFL uniforms from the 2009-2010 season will be featured in the fashion show on Monday night. They include the Minnesota Vikings, Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins, Tampa Throwback and the Kansas City Chiefs.

St. Thomas Photo Shoot

Today we had a photo shoot at Steve Lucas’ Photography Studio. It was a thrill taking pictures of the St. Thomas Dance Team. Alysia Ulfers and her team showed off their winning trophy as UDA Collegiate Champions. Thank you Alysia for letting us be a part of your accomplishment, we feel so privileged to have made your outfits!

Steve, we are excited to display your pictures on the blog and our new, upcoming website. We will also be featuring the team in future ads featured in Dance Spirit and Dance Teacher Magazine.

Last weekend many of the winning Wisconsin teams wore dance apparel made by The Line Up. We are eager to celebrate your success. Please send us your photos to jenni@thelineup.net. We want to share your story on the blog!

Since we are still waiting for pictures to share, today Cindy in Customer Service searched the internet to see what she could find. Check out this news story featuring the Green Bay Troyettes Dance Team. It was broadcasted before the competition.

The Troyettes won Division One Championship Titles in Pom and Kick. Congratulations to Shawna and her team!

Shawna Landes, coach of the Troyettes, has been working with The Line Up for over 15 years. Each year she agonizes over creating a design that is better than the year before. No need to worry Shawna, this is a costume everyone will remember! Watch for the pom costume in of red, orange and yellow. Getting the right color combination required some extra time and effort. Thanks to Noah, our Production Coordinator, airbrushing the perfect color orange added the final touches to the dress. Antoina was responible for adding all those beautiful rhinestones!

West Virgina New Team Uniform

We just recieved this e-mail today from Erin Harold, Head Coach of West Virgina University Dance Team:

“I have attached two files of pictures that were taken in our new uniforms from The Line Up. The girls love their uniforms and we’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from the fans about them as well. We are getting started on our nationals routine this year, and we want to have The Line Up do our uniforms again! ”

Eden Prairie Pom Wins UDA Jazz Championship

Milwaukee Bucks Energee Dance Team Celebrates 20th Anniversary

This past weekend The Milwaukee Bucks Energy Dance Team celebrated their 20th anniversary. Lois Wagner Koepke founded the team and has been the director since it’s conception. Energee Dance Team is one of the first NBA teams The Line Up created costumes for in the mid 90′s. Thanks you for all your support over the years Lois!
